October: World of Burqa

“There are two types of the people of Hell whom I have not seen: People with whips like the tails of cattle, with which they beat the people, and women who are clothed YET NAKED, inciting men and their heads looking like the humps of camels, leaning to one side. They will not enter paradise and even smell it’s fragrance, even though it’s fragrance can be detected from such and such a distance.”
(Sahih Muslim, no. 2218)
The above Hadith is clear in that the clothing of a female must not be transparent and/or tight-fitting. The meaning of “clothed yet naked” is nothing other than that.

Burqa yes or no? I think that question is definitely not our business. Of course, muslim countries have to fight for their women’s rights and against domestic violence. But one can’t forget that a lot of burqa-wearing women do it voluntarily! It’s how they’ve grown up and how they feel secure and maintaining themselves hidden in their secret place – without any social obligations.
Of course, when it comes to identify a person of the female gender and distinguish her from another of the same condition, no one around here can understand how islamic authorities deal with the security problems that rise due to the use of burqas. Men disguised as respectable, conservative – and therefore untouchable – women attack banks, flee from justice.

This was the case of a Somali man wanted over the murder of a British police officer who escaped the country disguised as a veiled Muslim woman on December 20, 2006. He was not only able to elude police but also leave the country through supposedly tight antiterrorist airport security. Of course, arriving at the airport he could show just any passport belonging to a conservative muslim female.



Looking at this passport picture I ask myself: how does a husband – the only man with permission to intimate with his woman – feel when talking to his wife? Like talking to a tree? Or a (black) flower?



I have to say that if I was a black-bearded guy (of course that’s not the case), swimming in a lake with a totally covered woman - such as the one on the foto - would rather turn me on and would make me constantly think of what a delicious body might exist under the heavy, curtain-like cloth. Wouldn’t you?

Even though it is known that muslim women can be very attractive and suggestive when liberated from their isolation garment, such as Vida Samadzai, Miss Afghanistan 2003,
























others (we know it’s not you, Vida!) don’t seem to respect the indications of the Coran and the ancient muslim culture which expect women to await their masters clean, well-parfumed and – shaved…

Please understand that this is a joke and that some women from Middle East are real godesses. And of course they want to wear nice clothes (the ones that only wear headscarfes). But does Burka fashion exist? Well yes, there are some designers…

That’s what their tutors told some young girls in Saudi Arabia. “Beauty can also come from the inside, not only from the outer appearance.” In response to the undecent beauty contests of Western countries they thought it was a good idea to strengthen the girls' self-esteem in a different way.
That’s how “Miss Muslim Moral Beauty” was born…
